According to Counterpoint Research, the best-selling smartphone in April was Galaxy S9 Plus.

It’s surprising how Xiaomi Redmi 5A / Redmi 5 Plus went into the top 10, and it is assumed to be due to sales results both in India and China as it is the result of global market.

Likewise, Samsung Electronics did not well in China, but it has been sold quite a lot in other markets. However, there is not much difference between Apple and iPhone X / 8 / Plus and Galaxy S9 sales, and Apple’s sales were relatively good as well.

The industry estimates shipments of the entire Galaxy S9 are 30 million units this year, which is sharply lower than the Galaxy S8’s 40 million units. There is also a story that the shipments forecast for 2Q08 is also lowered to 9.5 million units from 15 million units.

Lastly, there is rumor that Galaxy Note 9 will be released on August 2nd ahead of schedule on August 9th.
