1. Xperia following the steps of Galaxy? Possibilities of new flagship line.

As you read earlier, there are not much difference in specs between “Yoshino” and “BlancBright”. Which means their flagship plan has changed. Previously, Samsung release Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge and once, and Sony was expected to release Xperia XZ flat and edge, but now there is a possibility for totally new flagship line.

2. Release with Snapdragon 835 on April?

If “Yoshino” and “BlancBright” are going to be assembled with Snapdragon 835, the release date will be pushed back.
We know that LG’s G6 will be assembled with Snapdragon 821 because of the shortage of Snapdragon 835. If Sony is actually planning to use Snapdragon 835, the release date will be pushed back to after April. Release after April also means face-off with Samsung’s Galaxy S8. Will Sony take such risk?

3. MediaTek Helio P20?

“Keyaki” and “Hinoki” are also something we should look into. These two devices are expected to be assembled with MediaTek Helio P20 AP. Following the footsteps of Sony XA Series, they seem to be the entry level models. MediaTek partnered with Samsung for their lower-priced smartphone models previously, and they were rather successful.
